Our directory lists ALL businesses that cater to Black, Indigenous, and other peoples of color (BIPOC). We are building a listing of every business that has the knowledge and skill set to work on BIPOC hair and skin.
2. What are the advantages of creating an account?
By creating an account, you are able to have access to the full potential of Nylut. With an account, you can make your own reviews and like reviews done by other individuals. In the future we intend to eventually add direct booking capabilities from within the website for account holders.
3. Why do I need to leave reviews on the website?
The goal of Nylut is to reduce the time, and ease the struggle BIPOC individuals spend on attempting to locate service providers that can cater to their hair and skin needs. Our desire is to create a community where users can review and talk about their experiences at these businesses that they have been to, and other users can confidently book services based on the reviews they have read.
4. What is the Positive Place Rating System?
This is a first of its kind feature that assists gender and sexually expansive people in finding not just welcoming but most significantly affirming service providers by utilising a rainbow star as a barometer of experiences.
5. Can I be a business owner as well as a user?
Yes, you certainly can. Simply log into your user account and create a business profile. All businesses on Nylut are connected to user accounts. Anyone can create a business profile.
